Faquanism and Its Comparative Advantage for Right-duty Jurispudence

Prof. Tong Zhiwei will be lecturing on his concept of "faquan," or the intersection of "right" and "power."  With this conceptual framework, that faquan is a unified entity, he will discuss in this lecture how it assists in achieving better right-duty jurisprudence. Tong Zhiwei is a professor of law at East China University of Political Science and Law. He is also president of the Shanghai Constitutional Law Society  and one the vice presidents of  China Constitutional Law Society. Professor Tong is the author of “Right, Power, and Faquanism--A Practical Legal Theory from Contemporary China” (Brill Publisher,2018). Sponsored by the Center for Chinese Legal Studies.
